Splash Works Rides
Here you will find just a few of the 17 different water slides and attractions found in Canada’s Wonderland Splash Works.
Moosehorn Falls
Brand new in 2024, Moosehorn Falls is a giant boomerang water slide. This raft slide takes riders down a rushing river full of twists, turns and drops before ending at a zero-gravity, 13-metre wall.
Mountain Bay Cliffs
Visitors can experience the exhilaration of cliff jumping from four different heights into the water below. The highest peak is 7.5 metres (or 25 feet).
Muskoka Plunge
Muskoka Plunge is an 18-meter-tall tower featuring four different speed slides. Riders will experience S-curves, 360-degree loops, and high-speed free falls of up to 40 km/h. Proper swim attire is required to ride these slides, and riders cannot wear any jewellery.
The Plunge
The Plunge is a three-seater rafting ride that takes riders over 50-foot free-fall plunges.
Black Hole
The Black Hole is a thrilling four-story slide that plunges riders through twists and turns in total darkness.
Splash Station
Splash Station is an interactive park that includes spray nozzles, waterfalls, jets, and water guns. There is also a giant bucket that spills 1,000 gallons of water onto those who are to stand underneath!
White Water Bay Wave Pool
The water park at Canada’s Wonderland has one of the largest outdoor wave pools in Canada. Riders less than 42″ must be accompanied by an adult. Riders under 48″ in height and under 10 years of age must wear a life jacket.

Lazy River
Riders can float on individual tubes through the relaxing quarter-mile Lazy River. With so many water park attractions to choose from, you’re sure to have a fantastic day at Splash Works!
Getting Prepared for the Day
To make the most of your day at Splash Works, a bit of planning goes a long way. Splash Works is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
I would recommend getting there early, particularly on a hot summer day, as the water park can get quite busy and the lines for the slides can get much longer later in the day.
Locker Rental at Canada’s Wonderland
There are changing rooms, washrooms, and locker rentals available within Canada’s Wonderland water park.
Wonderland locker rentals range in price from $17 to $30 per day, depending on the size of the locker. Locker rentals are automated and can be paid for with a credit card.
Of course, there is always the option to leave and return to the park. For those that drive and park at Wonderland, you may want to keep your valuables, towels, hats, and sunscreen in the car as you visit the park.
Lounge Chairs in the Water Park
There are also lots of Muskoka and lounge chairs throughout the water park, and they provide an excellent place for family or friends to gather or sit and watch the kids or teenagers enjoy the attractions!
Lots of parents choose to relax in the chairs and watch the valuables while the kids and teens enjoy all the water attractions.
Water Park Store
Near the entrance to Splash Works is a small store that carries all the water park necessities you may need, including sunscreen, hats, towels, bathing suits, and flip-flops.
Of course, you will have to pay a premium price to purchase these items inside the park, so the best option is to plan your visit ahead of time and bring everything with you!
Life Jackets
Life jackets are also available to borrow throughout the park and are free for anyone to use. You can find them hanging throughout the park. Some water attractions require those of a certain height or age to wear life jackets to participate in those activities.
Splash Works Cabanas
If you want to splurge, you can rent a cabana at the water park for the day.
The cabana includes a covered area, two lounge chairs, a patio table and chairs, a small safe, a refrigerator, six bottles of water, a souvenir towel, and a ceiling fan.
The cost of the cabanas ranges from $170 to $259, depending on the day. For example, the Saturday of the August long weekend is the most expensive. Cabana’s can be reserved online through the Wonderland website.
Food in Splash Works
You can not bring your own food into Canada’s Wonderland or Splash Works.
There are several locations to purchase food or drinks in the water park. These include Dockside Fish and Chips, Beaver Tails, and Pizza Pizza.
Of course, you can always exit the water park to purchase your food in another location of the park, returning to the water park when you are ready to hit the water slides once again!
Planning Your Water Park Adventure
When it comes to spending a day at the water park, it’s easy to get lost in the excitement of all the rides and attractions.
But before you dive headfirst into the fun, don’t forget to prepare for the weather! Bring along your sunscreen and any other necessary items to keep yourself cool and covered.
Timing Is Key: Arriving Early for the Ultimate Splash Works Experience
It’s also a good idea to arrive early to avoid the long lines that can build up on a hot summer day.
The best time to visit the water park is first thing in the morning. Arriving at Splash Works when it opens at 11 a.m. will allow riders to slide down lots of the big slides before longer lines start to form.
The busiest time of the day is in the afternoon, usually between 1 p.m and 4 p.m. Long lines for slides, food, changing rooms, and lockers are common on hot summer days!
Visiting the water park is also ideal for season ticket holders, as you don’t need to feel rushed if you choose to spend the whole day in the water park.
Summer Essentials: What to Pack for a Day of Water Park Excitement
And of course, don’t forget to pack your bathing suit and towel! Lots of visitors wear their bathing suits under their clothes, making it easy to try out some slides or cool off in the pool without having to wait for change rooms.
You may also want to bring inexpensive flip-flops to walk around the park. Sometimes the ground can get very hot, so you’ll want something on your feet.
However, water shoes are not permitted on many of the rides. Lots of people leave their flip-flops at the entrance to a slide, and they pick them up as they head off to the next ride.
Sunscreen is also essential for a day at the water park. There is very little shade in the water park, and it’s easy to get a sunburn on a hot day. While you can purchase sunscreen at the park, it will be expensive, so don’t forget to bring some with you if you can!
Canada’s Wonderland Amusement Park
Of course, there is so much more to do at Canada’s Wonderland than just Splash Works! Canada’s Wonderland has over 200 attractions, including 18 roller coasters and live shows, in addition to the water park.
