Best Niagara Falls Hotels with a View: Local Tips
As someone who was born, raised, and still living in Toronto I visit Niagara Falls frequently. Whether it’s for a quick day trip, a work function, or a special weekend away, I have stayed overnight in Niagara Falls more times than I can count.
As a Toronto travel guide the most common question I get from first-time visitors is “What is the best Niagara Falls hotel with a view?”
While there are many factors that go into a final decision, I can help you find a hotel that best meets your needs AND has incredible views of the falls from your room. I have stayed at most of the hotels on this list and if I have not personally stayed here, I have friends who have.

⭐️ My Top 3 Best Fallsview Hotels with A View
1. Sheraton Fallsview Hotel – Rooftop pool, Juliet balconies, unobstructed views
2. Marriott on the Falls – Closest to the Canadian Falls, unobstructed views
3. Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls (formerly Embassy Suites) – Family-friendly
8 Best Hotels with a View in Niagara Falls

For many, staying in a hotel with a view of Niagara Falls from their window is a bucket list experience. As someone who has had the opportunity to stay in a Fallsview room many times – I completely understand why this is on many visitor’s “must-do” list when coming here.
Before you book, however, here are a couple of tips.
📌 Tip #1: Always try to book a high floor. The higher the floor, the better the view in almost every Fallsview hotel.
📌 Tip #2: Do not book a “city view” room. If you don’t want to upgrade to the Niagara Falls view you can save a few dollars by staying at one of the cheaper Niagara Falls hotels – great hotels, just without the view.
Ready to get started? Here’s my list of the 10 best Niagara Falls hotels with a view.
1. Sheraton Fallsview Hotel – My Top Pick
⭐️ RATING: 8.4 | ✓ Book Today

The Sheraton Fallsview Hotel is my number one hotel pick in Niagara Falls. I love the Juliet balconies and you can see all three falls – American, Bridal, and Canadian Falls – from your Fallsview room.
This hotel is especially awesome for seeing the falls at night and the fireworks in the summer. Plus, there’s an outdoor rooftop pool for even more spectacular views.
If you have seen those Instagram photos of guests drinking coffee in bed with views of the falls in the background, this is the hotel they are staying at.
The 22-story glass-faced hotels is located at the foot of Clifton Hill, so its location perfect for walking to the Falls or Clifton Hill. We also find this location ideal if we visiting Niagara in the winter as we’re close enough to head back to our room to warm up – plus the winter views are stunning in their own right!
Why I Recommend the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel
- Prime location at the foot of Clifton Hill, steps from attractions and dining.
- Some rooms feature Juliette Balconies for unobstructed views of Niagara Falls.
- WEGO bus stop located right outside for easy transportation.
- 2 WEGO Bus passes included per room
- Connected to Casino Niagara and Fallsview Indoor Waterpark via an indoor walkway.
- Seasonal rooftop pool, year-round indoor pool, fitness center, and multiple dining options.
- Walking distance to the Rainbow Bridge for access to the American side of the Falls.
- Convenient access to Clifton Hill, Hornblower Cruises, Zip Lining, and all Niagara attractions.
With it’s incredible views and excellent location, the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel is my top pick for a Fallsview hotel in Niagara Falls, Canada.
2. Marriott on the Falls – Unobstructed Views
⭐️ RATING: 8.4 | ✓ Book Today

I recently stayed at Marriott on the Falls for a work function – and my room was on the top floor! I was astounded by the views of the falls from my room. With no other properties built in front of this hotel, I enjoyed completely unobstructed views from my room.
Another bonus, it has one of the more affordable room rates compared to some of the other Fallsview hotels. For quick access to the falls and the Welcome Centre I was also able to hop on the Incline Railway located just outside of the hotel. I was at the falls in less than 5 minutes.

Why I Recommend Marriott on the Falls
- Closest hotel to the Horseshoe Falls with excellent views of both the Canadian and American Falls.
- Incredible views from high-floors featuring floor-to-ceiling windows.
- Located at the top of the Incline Railway, offering quick access to the Welcome Centre, Journey Behind the Falls, and the Niagara Power Station.
- Milestones Restaurant overlooks the Falls, and there’s a Starbucks in the lobby.
- More affordable room rates compared to some other Fallsview hotels.
- Hotel and rooms have fewer amenities, but this results in a slightly better room rate.
As the closest hotel to the Canadian Horseshoe Falls book the Marriott on the Falls for unobstructed views with great sight lines of all three waterfalls.
3. Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls (formerly Embassy Suites by Hilton) – Best For Families
⭐️ RATING: 8.2 | ✓ Book Today

I have been to the Embassy on several occasions for dinner, and if you’re traveling with family, this hotel is an ideal choice! It’s suites provide extra space and the free breakfast is ideal for families and large groups.
This 42-story hotel overlooks the Falls and is in the heart of the Fallsview Tourist District. It has spacious suites, great amenities, and some of the best Falls views. I have read, however, that there can be long waits for the elevator and lines for breakfast if you go at prime time.

Why I Recommend Embassy Suites
- 42 floors and 565 spacious two-room suites, ideal for families.
- Variety of room options, including suites with up to 6 beds.
- Free breakfast included, though lines can be long, and reviews are mixed.
- Complimentary Evening Reception with snacks and two free drinks per suite.
- Small kitchenettes for convenient meal preparation, perfect for longer stays.
- Incredible Falls views, including fireworks, from many rooms.
- Convenient location at the top of the Incline Railway for access to Horseshoe Falls and Table Rock.
Book the Embassy Suites if you are looking for free breakfast, a variety of room options including suites, but still want those incredible hotel room views of the falls.
4. Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview – Awesome Location
⭐️ RATING: 8.0 | ✓ Book Today

I recently stayed at the Hilton as I wanted to capture some photos of Niagara Falls covered in snow and ice and I was able to snag a great winter rate.
My hotel room was fantastic. It was large, newly renovated, and of course had excellent views of the falls from the 34th floor. One downside for me, however, is that the Fallsview Casino blocks some of the views from the Hilton. Rooms on the 30th floor or higher provide the best views of both the Canadian and American Falls.
What also sets the hotel apart is it’s excellent location. The Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview is in the heart of the action. Because you are attached to the Casino you can head to a number of great restaurants, the OLG Stage, and the Casino without stepping foot outside.
In the summer, I also went to an awesome Food Truck festival that was held at the back of the property – the food was excellent and it made for a really fun night out.
The Hilton is the tallest hotel in Canada with 52-stories, but the large size brings lots of people. During a recent stay we faced long lines at check-in and waiting for the elevators.
The hotel also asks that you book a time to visit either the infinity or family pool. While this wasn’t enforced when we stayed in January, I suspect that during the summer, the pools become very busy.
Why I Recommend Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview
- Tallest Hilton property in Ontario, with 52 floors and panoramic views.
- Features an indoor infinity pool with Falls views, a family pool, and several on-site dining options.
- Directly connected to Fallsview Casino Resort and OLG Stage via an indoor glass walkway.
- Prime location within walking distance of many attractions.
- Lower-floor rooms may have obstructed views due to surrounding buildings.
I recommend booking the Hilton Fallsview if you want a hotel in a prime location with easy access to many restaurants, attractions, an indoor pool – but still have those great views!
5. The Tower Hotel Fallsview – Boutique Hotel Ideal for Couples
⭐️ RATING: 9.0 | ✓ Book Today

If you prefer a unique hotel and are looking for a boutique hotel option rather than one of the main hotel chains, then The Tower Hotel Fallsview is the accomodation for you!
Not only does it have a fascinating history, it’s a budget-friendly price for the area. It’s also been recently renovated with wall to wall windows. While I haven’t stayed here yet, this hotel is on my bucket-list.
Why I Recommend the Tower Hotel
- Originally built in 1962 as Niagara’s first observation tower
- Newly renovated with stunning views overlooking the Horseshoe Falls
- Small boutique hotel with a great location and friendly staff
- Limited amenities, though there’s an IHOP restaurant on the 26th floor with Falls views.
- Off-site parking with a shuttle service that takes you two blocks to the lot
Book The Tower Hotel today if you want to stay at a really unique property with those floor-to-ceiling unobstructed views of Niagara Falls.
6. Marriott Fallsview Hotel and Spa – Stunning Views
⭐️ RATING: 8.6 | ✓ Book Today

Similar to the Marriott on the Falls, the Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa is another hotel option with stunning views and excellent amenities, though recent reviews note some areas need updated. You must, however, stay on a high floor, otherwise your view can be blocked by trees on some of the lower floors.
I have stayed at this hotel in the past and loved the incredible views and overall comfort. For the best view, however, I did have to upgrade to a room on higher floor. Lower floors will have an obstructed view at this hotel.
I find this hotel to be similar to Marriott on the Falls, however, because it’s bigger I found the lines for the elevator and check-in to be longer. I also found the price point just a bit higher overall.
Why I Recommend Marriott Fallsview
- 432 Fallsview guest rooms, most featuring floor-to-ceiling windows for breathtaking views.
- Located near Fallsview Casino Resort with a convenient skywalk connection.
- Floors 12–23 provide the best views; lower floors may have obstructed views due to trees.
- On-site spa with thermal views of the Falls, available for an additional fee.
- Known for its cleanliness and well-kept facilities.
Book a room on a high floor of the Marriott Fallsview for the best view options and upgrade your stay to include a spa visit for a truly unique view of the falls.
7. Niagara Fallsview Hotel (formerly Radisson Hotel & Suites Fallsview) – Pet Friendly Accommodations
⭐️ RATING: 8.2 | ✓ Book Today

The Radisson Hotel and Suites was recently sold and came under new management in January 2025. If you are travelling with pets, then the Niagara Fallsview is your hotel option.
The rebranded Niagara Fallsview Hotel offers comfortable accommodations with good views of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. The hotel is located on the street behind the Marriott Fallsview, so you will need to book a high-floor room for the best views of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls.
Why I Recommend Niagara Fallsview Suites
- 15-story hotel located behind the Marriott Fallsview Hotel.
- Select rooms provide breathtaking views of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls; some rooms do not include views of the American or Bridal Veil Falls.
- Best views are from high floors, as trees may block lower-level rooms.
- Clean, comfortable rooms, though slightly dated in style.
- Only Fallsview hotel that’s pet-friendly, making it ideal for travellers with pets.
- On-site restaurant, Turtle Jack’s, though coffee isn’t offered in the lobby.
Book the Niagara Fallsview Hotel is you are looking for a pet-friendly hotel with views of the Falls. Be sure to choose a high floor in a Fallsview room.
8. The Oakes Hotel – Budget Option
⭐️ RATING: 7.0 | ✓ Book Today

The Oakes Hotel is worth considering for travellers who prioritize Falls views over room quality. While the rooms are older and may be in need of some updates, the views from higher floors can make up for the lack of amenities. If you’re on a budget and want a great view, this hotel could be a practical choice.
The Oakes Hotel Highlights
- Stunning views of both the American and Canadian Falls, especially from rooms on the 14th floor or higher.
- High floor jacuzzi suites.
- Good location close to major attractions.
- Reasonable pricing compared to other Fallsview hotels.
- On-site dining option is limited to Applebee’s.
Book the Oakes Hotel if you are on a budget but still want a Niagara hotel with a great view.
Where to Stay in Niagara Falls Without a View
If you don’t want to upgrade to a room on a high floor with a Fallsview room, I would suggest you consider some of the other hotel options in Niagara Falls. They are still good options – clean, affordable, within walking distance of the falls – they only lack the view.
While I have an entire article written about some of the cheaper hotel options in Niagara Falls, the three I recommend are:
- Holiday Inn by the Falls – free parking, excellent location walking distance to the falls, outdoor pool, great price
- Holiday Inn Express Niagara-on-the-Lake – close to Niagara-on-the-Lake this brand new hotel includes free breakfast, free parking, and a good price
- Serene Niagara Inn B & B – ideal for backpackers and solo travellers. Includes free parking and free breakfast. Often sells out due to it’s high ratings.

Local Tips When Booking Niagara Falls Hotels
While your first priority may be a great view, there are some other considerations to keep in mind when considering where to stay in Niagara Falls. Let me share a few location tips and insights to help with your final decisions.
Fallsview Hotel Pricing and Parking
I’m going to be honest, the high cost of hotels in Niagara Falls catch many visitors by surprise. A Fallsview room in Niagara is expensive – especially during the peak tourist season. However, these hotels are in very high demand and most will fill to capacity in the summer and during holidays.
If you are looking at more budget-friendly hotel options in Niagara Falls, you will likely have to reconsider staying in a Niagara Falls hotel with a view. Another option would be to visit Niagara Falls in the winter or in the off-season.
Parking at Niagara Hotels
Parking is not free at any of the Fallsview hotels, but they do all include in-and-out privileges. The hotel parking costs are also ridiculously expensive in Niagara and visitors are again caught off-guard by the high prices.
Every Fallsview hotel charges an additional $35-$100 per night for parking. These additional parking costs can really add up, especially if you are staying a few days. There is no overnight parking in the Niagara Parks parking lots or on the street.
If you do need overnight parking, here are some tips that may be helpful:
- Read the parking policies and costs carefully prior to booking your hotel. It’s there in the fine print – don’t be caught off guard.
- Park at one of the local overnight parking lots (such as the Skylon Tower or Casino) and then walk the short distance to your hotel. These again range in price depending on the season, but they can be much less than the hotel.
- Consider leaving the car at home or picking up your rental when you arrive at your next location – the cost of transportation from Toronto to Niagara, for example, may be less than the parking costs you might have to pay!
The image below provides a comparison of parking costs at Niagara Falls hotels (subject to change).

Additional and Hidden Niagara Falls Hotel Fees
Every Fallsview hotel also charges additional fees. These can also catch some guests by surprise. In Ontario, we have a government tax (HST) which is 13%. Niagara Falls also charges a mandatory $2 Municipal Accommodation Tax.
However, based on my research, every Fallsview hotel also charges additional resort and/or tourism fees. These are all added on by the hotel. These fees are a common complaint, but the reality is, they exist.
To help you understand the additional fees, I have added the image comparing the features, based on my research.
NOTE: These fees can change at any time. Please review any fees and charges carefully prior to finalizing your reservation.

Location Tips

Fallsview hotels are clustered within a relatively small area of Niagara Falls, but the terrain is not flat.
Many, like the Marriott on the Falls and Marriott Fallsview, sit atop the Niagara Escarpment, offering incredible views of the Niagara River.
However, reaching the Table Rock Welcome Centre and other Falls attractions requires a bit of effort. You can take the Incline Railway or the WEGO bus for easy access, or walk down one of the main roads, which takes about 15–20 minutes. Keep this in mind when planning your stay and activities.
Public Transportation in Niagara Falls
The WEGO Bus system is a convenient hop-on, hop-off service that connects visitors to major attractions in Niagara Falls.
With routes covering attrations like the Floral Clock, Butterfly Conservatory, White Water Walk, and Whirlpool Aero Cable Car, it’s an easy way to explore Niagara Falls without driving.
For an additional cost, WEGO also provides a seasonal shuttle to Niagara-on-the-Lake, a great option for wine enthusiasts or those looking to visit the charming town.
Visitors can purchase 24-hour or 48-hour passes, and some hotels even include WEGO passes with your stay. This reliable transit system also makes it simple to travel from Toronto to Niagara Falls without a car, whether for a day trip or a weekend getaway.
Tips for Finding the Best Hotel in Niagara Falls
- Look for hotels with all fees included in the total price to avoid surprises.
- If a view of the Falls is important, pay extra for a Fallsview Room and request a high-floor room for the best experience.
- If a Fallsview Room isn’t essential, consider non-Fallsview hotels for more affordable options.
- For travelers with mobility issues, choose hotels like the Sheraton or Hilton, which are closer to Clifton Hill and attractions.
- Ask if the hotel includes a WEGO Bus pass to save on transportation costs.
- Check reviews for recent updates on room quality and cleanliness, especially for older properties.
- Verify parking costs, as they can vary significantly between hotels.
- Consider proximity to your planned activities—Fallsview hotels are great for the view but may not be ideal for winery visits or shopping.
Is Booking a Hotel in Niagara Falls with a View Worth It?

I absolutely think staying in a room with a view is worth it! Every time I say in a Fallsview room, I am truly mesmerized by the view – in fact sometimes my friends have to drag me away!
I especially enjoy going in the winter when it’s so cold I can barely feel my fingers, or in the spring when it can rain a fair amount. I’m happy to sit in my hotel room and look at the view, protected from the elements.
In the summer, I love the views of Niagara Falls at night and the fireworks displays from the comfort of my room.
And if you love a good sunrise, then this is another reason to book a room with a view! Imagine sitting at the window, coffee in hand – in pyjamas or with the kids still asleep – watching the sun come up over the falls. It’s certainly a bucket-list momen.
If you are only coming to visit Canada once, I suggest you splurge on a Fallsview hotel room. You will love it! If you’re like me and get to come to Niagara Falls frequently, wait and see if you can get a deal – and then splurge for a special celebration or weekend away.
