A Little More About Me
Hi, I’m Julie, a Toronto-based travel expert and photographer behind a Toronto travel blog focused on city travel, solo adventures and great-value experiences for experienced travellers. I live in Toronto, Ontario with my husband and our two university-aged children, and travel both as a family, as a couple and increasingly on my own.

Over the past 15 years, travel has taken me across Canada, the United States and Europe, including trips to Belgium, Ireland, England and Spain, as well as Mexico. In recent years I have embraced solo travel, particularly city breaks, and have come to love the freedom and confidence that comes with exploring destinations independently.
Like many travellers, I planned my own trips by learning from other travel blogs. That experience inspired me to create Toronto to Anywhere, a Toronto travel blog where I share practical travel advice, destination guides and real-world insights to help others plan trips that feel exciting, achievable and well thought out. My focus is not budget travel or luxury travel, but smart, great-value travel that makes the most of time and experience.

If you are planning a trip to Toronto, Ontario or Niagara Falls Canada and want practical, real-time advice, I also host a Facebook community connected to my Toronto travel blog where I personally help travellers with trip planning questions, including hotels, transportation and restaurants. The Toronto, Ontario, and Niagara Falls Canada Travel Tips and Planning group has over 3,500 members and is a supportive place to get local insights. You can join the group here or follow my Facebook page here.
Travel Photography
I am especially passionate about Toronto and Ontario travel. I have lived in Toronto my entire life and believe there is no better way to experience a destination than through local knowledge. Through this Toronto travel blog, I share neighbourhood guides, day trips, attractions and photography that help visitors see Toronto and Niagara Falls the way locals do.
Photography is a core part of my travel storytelling. I specialize in iPhone travel photography and love showing that you do not need expensive gear to capture compelling, high-quality images. I also specialize in 360 photos. My photography has been featured by Air Canada, exhibited in a Toronto gallery and recognised with multiple awards from the Etobicoke Camera Club.
